Clonk Rage ist der Nachfolger von Clonk Endeavour. Es basiert auf dem gewohnten 2D-Spielprinzip. Clonk Rage beinhaltet sämtliche Neuerungen aus der fortlaufenden Entwicklung des Spiels.
Hauptaugenmerk ist das neue Menüsystem für Spielerverwaltung und Szenarienauswahl, welches mit spielgerechten, bildschirmfüllenden Menüs aufwartet und nahtlos in den Startvorgang der Spielwelten übergeht. Im Spiel selbst werden neue Spieler eine komplett überarbeitete Steuerung vorfinden, die sich sehr viel stärker an die gewohnten Prinzipien bekannter Jump'n'Run-Spiele anlehnt.
Vollständig neu entwickelter Netzwerkcode ermöglicht erstmals auch im Internet flüssige Netzwerkspiele bei gleichbleibend physikalisch anspruchsvollen Landschaften. Zahlreiche neue Netzwerkfunktionen wie Lobby, Chat und ein neues Ligasystem runden die Erweiterungen ab.
